Each one when born, is born beyond facts, men and things. Dealing with all these things, man becomes small, becomes part of the mass, dissappears in the end, without leaving any positive mark. Only those who remain as they were born, beyond facts, men and things, are those who leave mark.

Joan Salvat Papasseit Mots Propis XXVII

And this is how the music of Toti Soler leaves its mark. And track is as well as leaves Toti Soler´s music, because it always supports a nascent condition over facts, men and things. A condition of permanent illumination of music that is offered to us in order that, the one who listens to it, manages also to take distance and could listen, profitably, to something that will leave its mark, a mark of light and silence. Because the music that Toti composes and interprets, gives and asks, paradoxically, silence. Also light. A necessary silence now that everything is noise. A light of indispensable beauty when everything is confused and dark. The silence that comes from his loneliness, of his concentration, the light of his most intense emotions, of his poet´s wise sap that, over words, he has chosen the humility of a sound that does not need deception to transmit them, a sound that does not look for artifices, which it knows very well where one finds the essential thing and, if perhaps it was necessary do it in a subtle way that, by force, its sense would only be understood by who is endowed to do it. And despite everything, no human thing is strange for him, no violence, no tension. Authentic art always demands great tension and Toti´s music is not greedy in tensions, only that his music remains liberated of all bitter flavor, of any roughness that would make it a kind of slave of the time and he can give his music the freedom with which the beauty moves, giving it, when it is necessary, the sadness and the passion of one who, with all freedom, always longs for a higher life. In every vital epoch, Toti has given a musical response. Because of it, in this case, as always happens with masters, life and work intertwine, joining and getting jumbled in a harmonic chord of existence and art. His music has given wings to words that, sung by himself or said by others, it seems that they have been born in order to be elevated by his music. His music has been chained to the whole of nature, to the cycle of the days and the moons. Because of this, in his music there are nights of darkness and noise, late afternoons of distress, blue evenings of peace and mornings of illuminated force. Universal and immense, it floods the world with a not at all forced sensibility, which sprouts forth with naturalness as a consequence of his way of being: sensitive and robust. His music, as a centenary tree of deep and old roots, makes one think about the unfathomable and hidden life and shows, implacably, the heights that life is capable of reaching...a life always waiting to be born...
